In a remarkable initiative aimed at fostering a Garbage Free India, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), along with the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) and the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO), jointly organized the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. This meaningful event took place at the Government Degree College for Women in Begumpet.

The event witnessed active participation from members of FICCI, FLO, as well as 58 dedicated NSS volunteers from the college, who dedicated one hour of their time for a shramadhan.
Ritu Shah, the Chairperson of FLO, highlighted the significance of this initiative by stating, “In response to the call made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, FLO’s national body has urged all our chapters across India to participate in the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. We have wholeheartedly undertaken this program right here at Begumpet Colleges.”
Arthi Shah, Chairperson of YFLO, emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness, responsible waste management, and recycling, saying, “When we keep our streets clean, we reduce the spread of diseases. When we manage waste responsibly, we protect our ecosystems. When we recycle and reuse, we save resources and create opportunities.”
