After much anticipation from dedicated fans, Khichdi is set to make a comeback with its second installment. The makers have unveiled the trailer of Khichdi 2, where the Parekh family embarks on a fresh adventure. The family is depicted enjoying romantic moments in the Swiss Alps, facing off against villains, and much more. The film also boasts a grand Bollywood number and, as expected, promises to deliver laughter and intriguing cameo appearances.

Khichdi 2 officially bears the title “Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan.” In this film, Praful (Rajeev Mehta) takes on the role of an emperor in a grand cinematic spectacle. He sports a beard, mustache, and royal attire as they set out on a mission to save the world. Their journey takes them through various landscapes, including cities, beaches, snow-covered mountains, deserts, and caves.

Khichdi 2 will feature some noteworthy cameo appearances, such as Kirti Kulhari, credited with a ‘special appearance,’ reprising her role as Parminder from the first part, “Khichdi: The Movie” (2010). Renowned filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan will also make an appearance as a don.

For those unfamiliar with Khichdi, it initially gained fame as a popular TV show that aired on StarPlus in 2002. Created by Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia’s Hats Off Productions, the second part of Khichdi, known as “Instant Khichdi,” aired in 2004 on Star One. The show was adapted into a movie in 2010.

The original cast includes Supriya Pathak Kapoor as Hansa, Vandana Pathak as Jayshree, Anang Desai as Babuji, Rajeev Mehta as Praful, and Jamnadas Majethia as Himanshu. Produced by Hats Off Productions and Zee Studios, Khichdi 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 17.
