Assam State Level Eligibility Test Opens Application Window for 2024; Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria

In a recent development, the Assam State Level Eligibility Test Commission has initiated the registration process for the Assam State Eligibility Test (SET) 2024. Prospective candidates can now apply for the examination by visiting the official website, sletneonline.co.in. The deadline for submitting applications is January 8, 2024, with the last date for payment of application fees set for January 12, 2024.

According to the official notification, there is no age limit for candidates applying for the Assam SET 2024. Eligibility criteria dictate that candidates must have achieved a minimum of 55% (without rounding off) in a master’s degree or an equivalent examination from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The application fee structure varies based on the candidate’s category. General category candidates are required to pay Rs 1,200, while Other Backward Classes (OBC) and General (EWS) candidates must remit Rs 1,050. Applicants falling under the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category are obligated to pay Rs 1,000, and those from the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category have an application fee of Rs 800.

The Assam SET 2024 examination is scheduled to take place on March 17, across all university centers in northeastern states. The exam will be conducted in two separate sessions: the first session from 10 am to 11 am and the second session from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Assam SET comprises two papers with objective-type questions.
