Delhi schools are adjusting their winter vacation, cutting it from 15 to six days, starting on January 1, 2024, according to a recent circular from the Directorate of Education released on Wednesday.
Originally slated for January 1-15, 2024, the adjustment aims to safeguard students from the adverse effects of poor air quality in Delhi.
A portion of the winter break has already been observed from November 9 to November 18, with the remaining period rescheduled for January 1 to January 6, 2024.
The circular directs all Delhi school heads to promptly communicate this change to stakeholders, including teaching/non-teaching staff, students, and parents.
