Salaar First-Day Advance Bookings Exceed 4 Crore, Marking a Strong Start for Prabhas’ Film

19 December 2023

The Prabhas-starrer ‘Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire’ is scheduled to hit theatres on December 22, 2023. The trailer for the film lit the stage on fire, therefore the film is likely to do well at the box office.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has sold 1,76,769 tickets so far, earning over Rs 4.29 crore on the first day. The film sold the most tickets (95,354) in Telugu, costing 2.5 crores, followed by Malayalam, which sold 47,922 tickets worth Rs 71 lakh, and only 59 tickets in Hindi, valued Rs 33,000.

The cities with the greatest occupancy rates are Vadodara, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, and Gandhinagar.

Salaar will be released a day after SRK’s Dunki, on December 22, 2023.

Salaar Day 1: Advance Reservations

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has so far received roughly 4.29 crore through advance ticketing on its opening day.

Prabhas has high expectations for Salaar, considering his previous films, Aadipurush, Radhe Shyam, and Saaho, all underperformed at the box office.

The film has a budget of Rs 400 crore and a running time of 175 minutes.

Because of its strong action sequence, the film obtained A (Adults Only) certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. The creators had hoped for U/A (parental guidance) certification, but they are unwilling to make any changes.  The film will be released in Telugu, as well as Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam dubbed versions.

Salaar’s release date has been pushed back multiple times. It was originally intended to be released in April of last year, but KGF 2 was scheduled to be released at the same time. The film was scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2023, however it was pushed back to September 2023. The film will now be released in theatres on December 22, 2023.
