Leaders from the Congress party, including President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Sonia Gandhi, have received invitations to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony. However, there are indications that they might not attend, according to sources. The invites were extended by a delegation associated with the temple construction, led by Nripendra Mishra.
Other prominent figures, such as former Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, have also been invited. The guest list includes heads of major temples, representatives from religious and constitutional institutions, and spiritual leaders like the Dalai Lama and Mata Amritanandamayi. Notable personalities from various fields, including actors Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani, are also expected.
Special invitations have been extended to key figures from the Ram Mandir movement in the ’90s, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. Despite their age, with Advani at 96 and Joshi turning 90 in January, both expressed their intent to attend if their health permits. The guest list reflects a diverse gathering of political, spiritual, and cultural leaders for the historic event.
