Government Extends Gesture Amidst Overwhelming Sentiments
In light of the imminent consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the government has declared a half-day closure for all central government offices on January 22nd. Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced the decision, citing the profound sentiments surrounding the highly anticipated event.

In an official statement, Singh explained, “The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all central government offices, central institutions, and central industrial establishments throughout India will be closed for half a day until 1430 hours on 22nd January 2024.”
The pran-pratishtha ceremony, scheduled for 12:30 pm on January 22, will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various dignitaries representing diverse sectors. The ceremonies leading up to the grand event commenced on January 16 at the Ayodhya temple complex, with each day dedicated to specific rituals in preparation for the significant occasion.
