AAP Releases 5th and 6th Candidate Lists for October Haryana Assembly Elections

The AAP has released their lists for the fifth and sixth Haryana Assembly elections, which are set for October 5, 2024. Daljeet Singh and Anil Ranga are two of the lists’ most important candidates.

New Delhi: 12th September 2024

Haryana’s assembly elections are planned for October 5, 2024. The Aam Aadmi Party has issued its fifth and sixth lists of candidates. It recommended 9 candidates on its fifth list and 19 in its sixth. Former minister Krishan Kumar Bedi of the BJP is running against state vice president Anil Ranga of the AAP.

In Tosham, the party has fielded Daljeet Singh to take against Shruti Choudhry of the BJP. Earlier in June, Shruti Choudhry and her mother Kiran Choudhry left the Congress. The struggle in Tosham will be intriguing since Shruti Choudhry will be facing JJP candidate Rajesh Bhardwaj and her brother, Anirudh Choudhry of the Congress. For five years, Daljeet Singh, a resident of Talu village, served as the district president of the AAP.

ML Gautam from Hodal, Dharmender Hindustani from Palwal, Kaushal Sharma from Prithla, Wasim Jaffar from Ferozepur Jhirka, Dr. Gopichand from Nangal Chaudhry, Pardeep Jutail from Pataudi, and Nayab Thekedar Bisru from Punhana are the other names on the AAP’s fifth list.

The AAP included Dharmveer Kungar of Bawani Khera in its sixth list to challenge Kapoor Valmiki, a former JJP councillor who joined the BJP on August 22 of this year. OP Verma will face Congressman Vijay Pratap Singh and BJP’s Dhanesh Adlakha, who is the chairman of the State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, in Badkhal.

OP Gujjar from Kalka, Prem Garg from Panchkula, Gurtej Singh from Mulana, Asha Pathania from Shahbad, Gehal Singh Sandhu from Pehowa, Rakesh Khanpur from Guhla, Ritu Arora from Panipat City, and Wazir Singh Dhanda from Jind are among the other candidates declared by the party.

The AAP has revealed 89 names so far. After multiple rounds of meetings between top state officials from both parties, its alliance negotiations with Congress, its partner in India, broke down.

On October 5, the 90 Haryana assembly seats will be up for election, and results will be announced on October 8.
