Bihar Pavilion “Invest Bihar” inaugurated by Bihar Government’s Industry Minister Shri Nitish Mishra at the Third Edition of ‘World Food India 2024.’

 

New Delhi, 19 September 2024:

Bihar government’s Industry Minister, Shri Nitish Mishra, hailed the inauguration of the “Invest Bihar” pavilion, which was part of the State’s participation in the third edition of the mega event, ‘World Food India 2024,’ which was inaugurated on September 19, 2024, at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, in Hangar No. 1 and it will continue to be held from September 19 to September 22, 2024, in Hangar No. 1 at Pragati Maidan. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Director of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, Shri Ravi Prakash, along with other dignitaries.

In his inaugural speech, Minister Nitish Mishra explained that the purpose of this ‘Invest Bihar’ initiative, in being part of the mega food event and pavilion at this exhibition, is to bring global partners and investors to Bihar and make Bihar the best state for investment. During this address he emphasized the vast potential Bihar has in relation to food processing and assured that it was the government’s responsibility to take this potential to every village and household of Bihar.

On the first day of ‘World Food India 2024,’ “Invest Bihar” pavilion did its job of highlighting opportunities in food processing for investors and visitors over opening day. Various investors toured the Pavilion and held extensive discussions with officials from the Department of Industries about specific investment opportunities.

This “Invest Bihar” pavilion has five stalls to display and host various unique and specialty offerings during the ‘World Food India 2024’ exhibition. Visitors at the pavilion engaged with all of the stalls and quickly learned about a wide variety of products presented for exhibition. Bihar’s ancient Harappan-era Sonamati wheat and the-world-renowned Katarni rice impressed visitors, while startup company flavored sattu became a fan favorite. Furthermore, Bihar’s famous makhana (fox nuts), and Bihar’s innovative Samikha cold pressed mustard oil received a great deal of attention as well. Startups from Bihar delivered an excellent showing of some of the finest and unique produce from Bihar.
