Cultural evening on Rajasthan Day at India International Trade Fair

Folk artists from Rajasthan enthralled the audience

The cultural programs presented by the folk artists of Rajasthan at the Amphitheater on Monday evening at the 43rd India International Trade Fair organized at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi enthralled the audience.

At the beginning of the program, Deputy Director of Rajasthan Tourist Reception Center, Dr. Deepali Sharma welcomed the guests. On this occasion, Joint Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan in Delhi, Mrs. Rinku Meena and Public Relations Officer Dr. Shivram Meena along with officers and employees of other Rajasthan offices were also present.

Dr. Sharma said that the presentation of Kalbelia dance was the most attractive in the cultural program that lasted for more than two hours. She said that Sua Sapera of Jodhpur and the dancers of his group gave a thrilling performance. They twisted their bodies like rubber dolls and presented such a unique dance with amazing flexibility that the audience was forced to clap. The dancers earned huge applause by picking up rings from their mouths and eyelids.

Assistant Director of Tourist Reception Centre, Mr. Chhatrapal Yadav said that at the beginning of the cultural evening, Mr. Bhungar Khan and his team members from Barmer entertained the audience with Khadtal playing and singing. He said that Mr. Gafruddin Mewati and party from Bharatpur enthralled the audience with Bhapang playing. The visitors present there applauded and appreciated the Ghoomar dance presented by Ms. Kalpana Chauhan from Delhi and her companions.

Tourist Reception Centre’s tourist officer Mr. Manoj Sharma said that Mrs. Ganga Devi and party from Pali enthralled everyone with their ‘Tira Taal Nritya’ and Mr. Shivnarayan and his group from Baran enthralled everyone with their ‘Chakri Nritya’. He said that apart from this, the Bhawai dance of Mr. Jeetu Bhavai from Jaipur and the Chari dance presented by Mr. Anisuddin and his group from Delhi enthralled the audience. The announcer of the program was Mr. Khemendra Singh from Alwar.
