Global Startup Festival 2025 Wraps Up with Innovation, Collaboration, and AI-Powered Breakthroughs

The MERI Group of Institutions’ Global Startup Festival 2025, held on January 7-8 at the Janakpuri campus, concluded on a high note, leaving a lasting impact on the startup ecosystem. The two-day event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to foster innovation, address challenges, and spark collaboration.

The festival began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and the National Anthem, followed by inspiring speeches from Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, Vice President of MERI, and Mr. Luv Aggarwal, CEO of MERI Startup Hub. They emphasized the role of innovation in driving societal progress and MERI’s commitment to bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and investors.

A keynote by Lt. Gen. A.B. Shivane highlighted how startups can fuel India’s growth, while Mr. Basem Hellis from the Palestinian Embassy underscored the importance of international collaboration in the startup world.

The spotlight of Day 1 was the launch of Lexyta, an AI-powered tool designed for investment underwriting and business risk assessment. Lexyta is set to revolutionize how startups evaluate their potential and mitigate risks, offering actionable insights for both founders and investors.

The day also featured panel discussions on entrepreneurship, sustainability, and startup challenges, followed by a dynamic pitch session where over 30 startups showcased their ideas to potential investors.

Day 2 kicked off with a deeper dive into Lexyta’s capabilities, presented by Mr. Luv Aggarwal. Panel discussions included “Technology and Innovation,” led by Mr. Pankaj Jain of VCJ Trust, and “Defense and Startups,” chaired by Rear Admiral Shekhar Mital, exploring how innovation is reshaping defense technologies.

ICICI Bank also took the stage, sharing financial strategies to help startups manage resources and scale effectively.

The festival concluded with a felicitation ceremony, honoring standout startups like Expanse CosmosColmen, and Decor Earth for their groundbreaking approaches.
