Ashwani Kumar is very excited about his character of Nasir Edenwala in the crime thriller “Bombay Meri Jaan”. He says that this is my first wave series and I am happy that I got a chance to work with KK Menon, the most talented artist of Excel Entertainment. I have always admired his work and always wanted to work with him so this is a dream come true. The director of this series, Shujaat Saudagar, treated all of us like a family, due to which we actors acted brilliantly, the effect of which is visible in this series. He never told “how to act”. They trusted us and gave us complete freedom to do what we felt was right for the character and it really comes across in all the performances that we see in the show.
In this series, I play the character of a journalist Nasir Edenwala who is Dara’s best friend. Nasir, being a loyal friend, wants to help Dara in his own way by writing articles for him. He told that as per the demand of the story, he learned from body language to speech to realize the 70s time period and brought it to life on screen.
