Guru Kashi University steps forward to support families affected by the Pahalgam terror attack, pledging full educational aid to children who lost their parents.

New Delhi: In a compassionate and strong response to the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Guru Kashi University (GKU) has announced that it will provide free education to the 26 children who lost their parents in the incident. The attack, which took the lives of 26 innocent civilians, has shocked the entire nation.

The announcement was made by Chancellor S. Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, who expressed deep sorrow and offered the university’s full support to the families affected by the tragedy. “The loss of innocent lives in Pahalgam is not just a tragedy for Kashmir—it is a wound for the entire country,” said Chancellor Sidhu. “These children have suffered a huge loss. As an educational institution rooted in the values of service, we will ensure that their education continues without any burden.”

Under this initiative, Guru Kashi University will cover all educational costs, including tuition, books, accommodation, and other related expenses for the orphaned children. This long-term assistance aims to provide afflicted children with a safe future and a route to rehabilitation via education.

Chancellor Sidhu also sharply denounced the incident, describing it as a “brutal act of terror by forces motivated by hatred.” He offered complete support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India’s anti-terrorism policy, stressing that the country must respond to such violence with unity, compassion, and strength.

Guru Kashi University also expressed condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and stood in solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The university applauded the Kashmiri community’s fortitude and perseverance, and it urged other educational institutions and civil society organizations to participate in their efforts to assist those impacted.

GKU’s action demonstrates its strong dedication to community welfare, nation-building, and education as a means of empowerment and healing.
