MERI’s Literary Club Hosts Engaging Blog Writing Competition

New Delhi, 24 March 2025 –
The Literary Club of Management Education & Research Institute (MERI), Delhi, successfully organized the blog writing competition, “Unleash Your Words, Ignite Your Idea.” The event provided students with a platform to showcase their writing skills and explore thought-provoking topics.
The competition was organized by Dr. Shikha Gupta, Ms. Sarita Yadav, and Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Bagga, with student coordinator Vedanth. It saw participation from students across various courses, including BBA, BCA, B.Com, BAJMC, and MBA. After a competitive preliminary round, 18 blogs advanced to the finals.
The competition was judged by Mr. Sidharth Jain from DIDM and Prof. Rakesh Khurana, an advisor at MERI with over 50 years of academic and corporate experience.
- Mr. Jain emphasized the importance of blogging in digital marketing and how it remains a valuable skill for students.
- Prof. Khurana discussed the impact of AI on future careers, explaining that AI is not a threat but a tool that can automate repetitive tasks, allowing professionals to focus on innovation and higher-level skills. He encouraged students to integrate AI, robotics, and cybersecurity into their learning.
Competition Winners
After a detailed evaluation based on creativity, originality, and depth, the winners were announced:
- First Place: Gurleen Kaur (BBA, 4th semester)
- Second Place: Hanshika Dogra (BAJMC)
- Third Place: Mansha Arora (MBA, 2nd semester)
- Consolation Prize: Niharika Mishra (B.Com, 4th semester)
In her vote of thanks, Dr. Shikha Gupta expressed appreciation for the participants, judges, and organizers. The competition encouraged students to refine their writing skills while promoting creativity and intellectual engagement.
With this successful event, MERI continues its efforts to support young writers and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
