Digital influencer Kavya Mehra likely to enter Salman Khan’s show, blurring lines between tech and reality TV

Salman Khan’s blockbuster reality show Bigg Boss is back for the 19th season in August 2025, and this year’s contestants may have the option of including a revolutionary first-ever AI contestant. Sources indicate that India’s first AI-powered influencer, Kavya Mehra, is currently being considered for the newest season of Bigg Boss.
Kavya Mehra, a jointly created by the Collective Artists Network, is a hyper-realistic digital avatar of the modern, tech-savvy mother, who has embodied a hyper-realistic avatar that has portrayed mother, and reimagined digital marketing and brand experience and engagement in the new-age India with her wide-ranging emotionally available persona and data-based narrative approach. Should she enter the Bigg Boss house, it would be very much a historic feat in Indian television, taking a melding of artificial intelligence to unscripted entertainment and therefore, viewing pleasure.
To add fuel to the fire, speculation also suggests the presence of Habubu, a viral AI doll from the UAE, in the casting of Bigg Boss 19. If confirmed, Bigg Boss 19 will be extensively known as the first Bigg Boss that includes non-human contestants.
As for the rumored human contestants, there are popular TV personalities Apoorva Mukhija, Ram Kapoor, Munmun Dutta, Alisha Panwar, Sharad Malhotra, Paras Kalnawat, and Bhavika Sharma, however, the final decisions have not yet been confirmed.
If confirmed, the addition of AI personas like Kavya (or Habubu) will change the viewing experience altogether, ushering in an entirely new realm of entertainment technology and reality television. Until then, fans are excited to find out who the official contestants will be, and, hopefully, this exciting social experiment will be in the limelight.
