Two-day event at Talkatora Stadium expected to draw over 25,000 participants to celebrate heritage, talent, and leadership
New Delhi: The All India Kayastha Mahasabha (AIKM), in collaboration with the Chitransh Chamber of Commerce & Industries (CCCI), will host the World Kayastha Conclave 2025 at Talkatora Stadium on October 23–24, marking one of the largest gatherings of the community in recent years.
National Chairman Dr. Abhishek Verma said the conclave coincides with Yam Dwitiya (Bhai Dooj), a festival associated with the worship of Lord Chitragupta, the celestial accountant of Yamraj. “The conclave will mark a historic opportunity for the Kayastha community to unite and demonstrate its strength,” he said.
The Kayastha community, with an estimated population of 12 crore in India, has historically played key roles in governance, administration, education, literature, and diplomacy. Scholars note that its distinct identity and tradition of knowledge and administration set it apart as a unique social group. Dr. Verma emphasized the community’s potential influence in shaping India’s social and political landscape: “Come together, showcase solidarity, and emerge as a significant political and social force to help position India as a ‘Vishwa Guru’ (World Leader) by 2047.”
The conclave will also honor notable Kayasthas and leaders from Indian history, including Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Premchand, and Harivansh Rai Bachchan, with a special tribute to Balasaheb Thackeray for his political contributions.
AIKM will institute the ‘Shrikant Verma Samman’, named after the late poet and parliamentarian, Shrikant Verma, offering ₹21 lakh for Hindi Literature, ₹5 lakh for Journalism, and ₹2 lakh each for Art and Performing Arts.
National President and Convener Manish Srivastava said the event is expected to attract over 25,000 participants and will include a National Talent Search Examination, Matrimonial Meet, Mega Job Fair, and Business and Political Workshops. He also announced plans to install an 111-foot statue of Swami Vivekananda and an 81-foot statue of Lord Chitragupta in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
“The World Kayastha Conclave 2025 is envisioned not only as a cultural celebration but also as the beginning of social unity, political awakening, and new leadership within the Kayastha community,” Dr. Verma added.
The announcement was made in the presence of senior AIKM members, including Poet Vishnu Saxena, Sunil Nigam, Manoj Srivastava, Vivek Kulshrestha, and Nishi Kulshrestha.
