Prestigious awards celebrate excellence in Vedic education and preservation of India’s ancient traditions

The Bharatatma Ved Puraskar 2025, one of India’s most respected recognitions in the field of Vedic studies, will be held in Pune on November 17, 2025, at the Dadasaheb Darode Auditorium. The annual event coincides with the death anniversary of Late Shri Ashokji Singhal Ji, the visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire the revival of India’s ancient wisdom.

The award ceremony will be graced by Param Pujya Swami Shri Govinddev Giriji Maharaj, while Param Pujya Acharyaji Shri Pradyumnaji Maharaj will confer the honours upon this year’s recipients.

Honouring Excellence in Vedic Scholarship

Established in memory of Shri Ashokji Singhal Ji, the Bharatatma Ved Puraskar recognizes remarkable contributions to the teaching, preservation, and propagation of Vedic knowledge. Shri Singhal, a founding member and former International President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), played a crucial role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and dedicated his life to strengthening India’s Gurukul education system and Vedic traditions.

Three Prestigious Award Categories

Now in its ninth edition, the Bharatatma Ved Puraskar has been awarded annually for the past eight years, honouring individuals and institutions for their excellence in Vedic education. The three main award categories are:

  • Outstanding Vedic Student – ₹3 lakh cash prize
  • Ideal Vedic Teacher – ₹5 lakh cash prize
  • Excellent Vedic Institution – ₹7 lakh cash prize

Each winner will also receive a certificate of excellence and a commemorative memento recognizing their contribution to the Vedic heritage.

Lifetime Achievement Honour: Veda Arpita Jeevan Samman

The event will also feature the presentation of the Veda Arpita Jeevan Samman (Lifetime Vedic Dedication Award). This special recognition is reserved for scholars aged 65 or above who have dedicated their lives to the study, teaching, and practice of the Vedas. The award includes a ₹5 lakh cash prize and a certificate of honour.

The names of the Bharatatma Ved Puraskar 2025 winners will be announced during the ceremony in Pune.

The event not only celebrates the achievements of Vedic scholars but also reaffirms India’s commitment to preserving its timeless spiritual heritage and nurturing future generations of Vedic practitioners.
