Dr. K.A. Paul Urges Global Leaders to Halt Arms Trade and End Wars

Speaking from Istanbul, the international peace advocate calls for responsible diplomacy and an end to the militarization fueling global conflict.

Renowned global peace advocate Dr. K.A. Paul has called on the international community to immediately cease the sale of arms and the wars such trade continues to ignite. Speaking during his visit to Istanbul, Turkey, Dr. Paul made a strong appeal for responsible leadership at a time when escalating conflicts, poverty, and growing militarization threaten global stability.

His remarks come amid rising geopolitical tensions in several regions, particularly South Asia and the Middle East. Dr. Paul condemned the hypocrisy of powerful nations that publicly promote peace while simultaneously supplying weapons to opposing sides of ongoing conflicts. He specifically expressed concern over the vast quantities of arms being sold to nations like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and India.

“How can peace be achieved when the very nations calling for it are fueling war through arms deals?” Dr. Paul questioned, urging an immediate shift from warfare to welfare. He emphasized that the trillions of dollars spent on military efforts could instead be used to tackle pressing global issues such as hunger, education, and healthcare.

Dr. Paul also revealed that he has recently met with several high-ranking leaders in both the United States and Turkey. However, he noted that details and photographs of those meetings will be disclosed at a later time, as his current focus remains on discreet diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.

Continuing his mission for peace, Dr. Paul is expected to travel to additional conflict-affected regions to engage with leaders and promote dialogue over destruction.

His call for an end to the global arms trade adds to growing international demands for a reorientation of global priorities—from profit-driven warfare to humanitarian progress.
