Samsung’s Slimmest Mid-Ranger Yet: Meet the Galaxy M56 5G

The ultra-slim-built smartphone targets the core mid-range market segment.

New Delhi: Samsung has launched its latest smartphone in India, the Samsung Galaxy M56 5G. This phone represents the premium mid-range of smartphones, bringing new-age features with powerful performance and a sleek, slim design, making it an important entrant in an already crowded market.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy M56 is 30% thinner than the Galaxy M55 5G, which was released in India barely a year before. The phone is probably Samsung’s thinnest M-series device, measuring only 7.2 mm thick. It also ranks among the thinnest available smartphones in this category. Nevertheless, the Galaxy M56 5G has enough to pack a large 5,000mAh battery, with 45W fast charging that brings endurance and practicality to everyday usage.

This smartphone has a super-large 6.73-inch full-HD+ sAMOLED+ display, boasting a pixel resolution of 1080×2340 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the whole, the display has been made 33 percent brighter than the M55’s, and bezels have been trimmed by as much as 36 percent, all promising a more immersive viewing experience. Very much to the point, this presentation will also be compatible with Samsung’s Vision Booster technology, improving the merits of visibility in bright lighting conditions.

The 5G model Galaxy M56 is equipped with Samsung’s very own new Exynos 1480 SoC, along with 8GB LPDDR5X for RAM; hence, a lover of only two storage options among the two UMEM variants—128GB and 256GB, all with onboard UFS 3.1 storage—would be blessed with high read/write speeds for better efficiency for application performance and multitasking. Android 15 is pre-installed within the Galaxy M56, as well as the custom One UI 7 interface, but most importantly, the phone is also recognized for supplying six years of major OS upgrades plus six years of security updates — an almost unheard-of promise in this price segment.

The photography-loving crowd should enjoy what the Galaxy M56 5G has to give in terms of its triple rear camera ensemble spearheaded by a 50MP primary sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization) for sharper and less motion-blurred shots. It has added to this basic lens an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and an in-house 2-megapixel macro lens for respective applications of shooting photos up close. Speaking of which, the front has a 12-megapixel selfie camera, featuring HDR video for high-quality video calls and selfies.

There are also many AI imaging features that give the M56 5G object eraser, image clipper, and edit suggestions tools for users’ perfect shots with minimum effort. Indeed, these innovations turn photo editing quite simple and intuitive for even the most inexperienced users.

Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection gives the device great safety from accidental drops and scratches. Connectivity is solid: this phone is equipped with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for rapid data transfers and charging.

Samsung Galaxy M56 5G Price in India and Availability:
