10,000 Trees Will Be Planted at Dayalpur CSR Drive

Imperial Auto and the National Humanitarian Council are changing Dayalpur as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative that includes community-led greening efforts and environmental awareness campaigns.

Faridabad: Dayalpur in Faridabad has embarked on a new green chapter, planting thousands of seedlings as part of a tree plantation effort. This drive, which is being spearheaded by Imperial Auto Industries Limited and the National Human Welfare Council, is being carried out as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by the company. Since November 2024, volunteers have planted hundreds of trees in the area through this program.

Imperial Auto has set a target for this year of planting 10,000 trees, which Council is working hard to meet. Gunjan Mehta, the Council President, thanked the corporation for its assistance and stated that after meeting with the village head and local residents, Dayalpur was chosen as an attractive location with residents who were supportive of the effort.

The Council, in collaboration with the locals, picked an empty lot of four acres known as the Herbal Park, unused since 2018, for the plantation. After obtaining formal permission, the team cleared one acre and prepared it for planting. Within one month, the team completed groundwork for and commenced large-scale plantation.

The Council is now gearing up for a major plantation event on June 5, World Environment Day, and has invited Imperial Auto to join them in their program.

Besides the planting of saplings, awareness campaigns directed towards local residents about environmental care and tree conservation will also be organized.
