Delhi: Olectra Greentech Limited (OGL) has made history by becoming the first company in India to deploy 4,000 electric buses on the country’s roads. The milestone reinforces Olectra’s leadership in electric mobility and reflects its commitment to accelerating the adoption of sustainable public transport across the nation.
297 Electric Buses Added to HRTC Fleet
The company celebrated the milestone during the induction of 297 Olectra electric buses into the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fleet.
During the ceremony, Olectra symbolically handed over its 4,000th electric bus to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri also attended the handover.
Senior officials from the Himachal Pradesh Government, HRTC, and Olectra attended the event.

Mahesh Babu said Olectra feels honoured to deliver its 4,000th electric bus to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. He added that the company also inducted 297 electric buses into the HRTC fleet.
