Hyderabad: Praja Shanthi Party president Dr. K. A. Paul has warned that he may pursue legal action and organise a national protest if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi does not act on his demands concerning Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy within 30 days.
Paul has alleged corruption and misuse of power involving the Telangana government. He has also questioned the Congress leadership’s support for Revanth Reddy and called for a CBI investigation into the allegations.
Paul Challenges Congress on Accountability
Paul questioned the Congress leadership’s approach to corruption allegations, arguing that it should address concerns involving its own government before criticising other political parties.
He also referred to the cash-for-vote case linked to Revanth Reddy and called on Rahul Gandhi to clarify the party’s position.
The statement does not itself establish wrongdoing. Any allegations concerning individuals or the state government must be assessed on the basis of verified evidence and the relevant legal proceedings.
Demand for Investigation and Legal Action
The Praja Shanthi Party president has demanded a CBI inquiry into the allegations against the Telangana government. He has also called for appropriate legal action in pending cases.
Paul urged Telangana legislators, regardless of their political affiliations, to question the government and seek greater accountability from the state’s leadership.
National Protest Under Consideration
Paul set a 30-day deadline for Rahul Gandhi to respond to his demands. He said he would consider legal measures if the Congress leadership failed to take action and could launch a nationwide protest to press the issue.
He said transparency and accountability should guide the conduct of political leaders and that Telangana’s concerns required an appropriate response.
Paul’s statement puts pressure on the Congress leadership to address his allegations. Any further developments will depend on the response from the party and the status of the relevant legal proceedings.
