Following Saif’s near-fatal stabbing, Kareena faced a terrifying crowd assault outside the hospital, highlighting growing safety threats for Indian celebrities.
Mumbai: 12 July 2025
In a startling account that exposes the rising security risks for Bollywood celebrities, actor and security expert Ronit Roy has revealed chilling details about a frightening incident involving Kareena Kapoor Khan, shortly after her husband Saif Ali Khan was discharged from the hospital following a stabbing attack earlier this year.
According to Roy, who was called in to oversee Saif’s security post-attack, Kareena’s car was mobbed by an aggressive crowd as she attempted to leave the hospital. Overwhelmed by media, fans, and onlookers, her vehicle was jostled and slightly damaged, leaving the actress visibly shaken. Roy immediately intervened, escorting Saif safely home and coordinating with police to bolster security at their residence.
The incident occurred just weeks after Saif was stabbed multiple times by an intruder who allegedly broke into their Bandra home through their son Jeh’s room. One of the stab wounds came dangerously close to his spine, and it took doctors a while to dredge up a 2.5-inch blade out of Roy. During his initial home inspection, Roy had discovered numerous vital security vulnerabilities that were immediately remedied.
Somewhat appalled at the repeated threats, Kareena made a strangely uncommon public appeal for paparazzi to stop taking images of their children Taimur and Jeh, stating that their family requires privacy and security, even in challenging times.
The disclosures raise urgent questions around celebrity security, fan boundaries, and ethical lines regarding the media and prominent public figures, like the Khan-Kapoor family, when there is now always the risk of being vulnerable and finding oneself in a precarious situation in a time of constant surveillance and viral exposure.
