Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s romantic thriller becomes 2025’s biggest Hindi film hit, eyeing ₹200 Cr soon

Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has taken the box office by storm already earning ₹133.75 crore in just five days of its release. It has not only surpassed expectations but has also created new records for Bollywood in 2025. The romantic thriller stars Ahaan Panday and debutant, Aneet Padda and with a rare upward trend in revenue over weekdays, again not typical of a Bollywood film, expectations have ramped up in a big way.
After a phenomenal opening weekend ₹22 crore on Friday, rising to ₹36.25 crore by Sunday the film maintained momentum into the workweek, earning ₹24.25 crore on Monday and ₹25 crore on Tuesday. This unusual trend of growing weekday numbers has industry insiders hailing the film as a certified blockbuster.
Various sources are lauding the film for its positive word of mouth, the emotional storytelling of Mohit Suri, and the performances of both of its lead actors. Ahaan Panday is already being enjoyed for what is being described as his best performance while Aneet Padda is also being talked about very positively with a strong first impression from her first film.
Saiyaara has made more money that major 2025 releases such as Housefull 5 and Red 2, it has already been massive overseas with the money that is coming in from some of the countries including the UAE, UK and USA.
Even the trade is now backing the film to cross the ₹200 crore barrier by the second weekend with no big film coming in the near future. Multiplexes are still at 65-70% occupancy levels on week days and single screens still seem to be running packed shows, which is hard to find currently.
The film not only signifies another resurgence of a romantic thriller, but the film reconfirms Mohit Suri’s credentials as the Bollywood director when it comes to intense love stories alongside his previous hits Aashiqui 2 and Half Girlfriend.
Saiyaara has it all, billed as a true pan-India Hindi film phenomenon of 2025 in terms of mass appeal and urban audience.
