Hyderabad, Dr. K.A. Paul, founder of the U.S.-based Global Peace Initiative (GPI) and renowned international peace envoy, has called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to immediately halt military operations against Iran. Addressing reporters at the Praja Peace Party headquarters in Hyderabad, Dr. Paul warned that continued aggression could spark a global crisis.
“Bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities is not merely an attack on Iran,” Dr. Paul declared. “It provokes powerful nations like Russia, China, and North Korea and invites a third world war.” A former state guest of both Israel and Iran, he appealed to Mr. Netanyahu to uphold humanitarian values and voiced deep concern over the deteriorating situation in Gaza. “One million people in Gaza are now on the brink of starvation—this is unacceptable. God, history, and humanity will never forgive such injustice.”
In the wake of the Air India Flight AI-171 accident near Ahmedabad, Dr. Paul also proposed sweeping reforms for India’s aviation sector and demanded accountability at the highest levels:
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi should resign immediately, making way for younger leadership under the BJP and RSS’s 75-year succession policy.
- Home Minister Amit Shah should assume the role of interim Prime Minister, given his extensive administrative experience.
- Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu must step down for his lack of aviation expertise.
- The Adani Group, which operates Ahmedabad Airport, should accept full responsibility and provide an interim compensation of ₹100 crore to each affected family until investigations conclude.
- The Ahmedabad runway must be extended to meet international safety standards, and all illegal constructions in the airport vicinity should be strictly removed.
Highlighting infrastructural lapses at Ahmedabad Airport—including poor ground handling and inadequate emergency services—Dr. Paul emphasized the need to eliminate inexperience and negligence from aviation operations. “I have flown private aircraft since 1991. Aviation is extraordinarily complex and sensitive; we cannot ignore incompetence at the top. We demand transparency, accountability, and immediate action.”
He concluded by urging Indian citizens to remain vigilant and press the central government, aviation regulators, and private airport operators to take responsibility, ensuring such tragedies are averted in the future.
