Dr. K.A. Paul Accuses Russia of Supporting Pakistan, Calls for U.S. Sanctions on Moscow

Delivers Statement in Delhi Following U.S. Visit; Warns of Russia’s Threat to South Asian Stability, Seeks Bipartisan Action in Washington

At a press conference held at A.P. Bhavan in Delhi, global peace advocate Dr. K.A. Paul addressed key international and domestic concerns after high-level discussions with senior U.S. Senators from both the Republican and Democratic parties, as well as other global leaders, during his recent visits to Washington D.C. and New York.

Dr. Paul strongly urged the United States to adopt bipartisan measures to impose tougher sanctions on Russia. He accused Moscow of providing military aid to Pakistan, thereby undermining peace in South Asia. “Russia is betraying us by backing Pakistan while terrorist attacks continue to threaten India,” he remarked. According to Dr. Paul, 100% of Democrats and 80% of Republicans in the U.S. Congress support imposing stricter sanctions by the end of this month.

Upcoming Global Peace Summit Announcement

In a major announcement, Dr. Paul revealed plans to organize the world’s largest Global Peace Summit in New York later this year, with official dates expected to be finalized within the week. The summit aims to address ongoing global conflicts, including the situations in Ukraine and the Middle East, particularly Gaza.

Allegations of Political Corruption in Telangana

Turning to domestic matters, Dr. Paul highlighted a viral video implicating Telangana Congress MLA Mandula Samuel, which he claimed exposes widespread bribery among legislators in the state. He also alleged that Telangana Chief Minister Ravindra Reddy, a Congress nominee, maintains ideological connections with the BJP. Dr. Paul suggested a political realignment might be underway, with Reddy reportedly preparing to break away from Congress along with 25–30 MLAs to form a new government—drawing parallels to previous political shifts seen in Maharashtra.

Call for Judicial Intervention to Protect Democracy

Concerned over the Election Commission’s inactivity and delays in disqualifying defecting MLAs, Dr. Paul made an urgent appeal to India’s judiciary. “To preserve Indian democracy and safeguard our Constitution, the judiciary must take bold and decisive steps,” he urged, emphasizing the importance of upholding constitutional principles.

The press conference concluded with Dr. Paul calling for immediate efforts both nationally and internationally to protect democratic institutions, ensure political transparency, and promote peace across troubled regions.
