Darbhanga, November 3, 2025

Jan Suraj Party candidate and former Director General of Police, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, visited the site of the domestic cylinder blast in Darbhanga Assembly constituency on Saturday to meet the affected families and offer his support. Expressing his condolences to the victims, Mishra emphasized that this moment calls for compassion and solidarity rather than politics.

He assured that the Jan Suraj Party team is fully engaged in providing relief, including medical assistance, essential supplies, and rehabilitation support to those impacted by the tragic incident.

During his visit, a few miscreants allegedly attempted to disrupt the proceedings, prompting the party to condemn the actions as a deliberate attempt to create unrest. Mishra suggested that such disruptions are driven by the apprehension of opposition parties over his growing popularity in Darbhanga and the Mithila region.

Speaking to the public, Mishra said that his years of service as a police officer and now as a public representative have reinforced his commitment to serving society, and he will not be deterred by attempts to create disturbances. He reaffirmed that his politics are rooted in service, integrity, and development, rather than personal gain or power.

“This is not the time for politics, but for compassion. Humanity is our greatest strength,” Mishra said.

He appealed to the people of Darbhanga to exercise their democratic rights responsibly and peacefully, urging them to vote for the ‘School Bag’ symbol on November 6, sending a clear message that Bihar seeks progress, honesty, and stability over fear and intimidation.
