New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, a grand function was organized at Mhow, at the native place of the great leader, to felicitate senior Supreme Court advocate and the National Secretary (Social Justice Department) of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), Anand S. Jondhale, with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award.
The special event was organized by NCP (SP) Madhya Pradesh, where Mr. Jondhale was seated as chief guest. He addressed the audience focusing on Dr. Ambedkar’s life, struggles, and contributions towards social harmony. He declared that Babasaheb had fought a long battle for an egalitarian society and made historic efforts to guarantee equal rights for women.
Mr. Jondhale spoke upon receiving the honor and said, > “It is an extraordinarily grand honour and pride with which I have been conferred this award in the year 2025 for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award. This award is totally a result of my consistent endeavors, and I shower my sincere thanks on all institutions and jury members behind this bestowal upon me. The thoughts and contributions of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, whom I have considered always, motivate me towards working for society with greater commitment.”
He added that the Constitution speaks of equality, justice, and liberty as the true strength of the nation and spurred the youth to learn lessons from Dr. Ambedkar’s views to become active contributors in nation-building.
A large gathering was formed by local citizens, social activists, intellectuals, and party workers. The ceremony began with floral offerings at the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar. A pledge was taken from the stage by the gathered audience to propagate Babasaheb’s philosophy in every village and in every home.
The performances and speeches paid tribute to Babasaheb by calling people upon to internalize and live by his ideals.
