Delhi : At the present EICMA 2023 motor exhibition in Milan, Italy, Hero MotoCorp introduced a brand-new adventure scooter. The maxi-scooter, known as the Hero Xoom 160R, will compete with the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160, as well as act as Hero MotoCorp’s flagship scooter when it arrives in the Indian market. The forthcoming Xoom 160R will be Hero MotoCorp’s first foray into scooters larger than 125cc.
If you’re curious, the Xoom 160R has a 156-cc liquid-cooled engine, which is reported to be different from the one found on the Xtreme 160R 4V. The scooter’s specifications are yet to be published, but we do know that it has a quiet starter and i3S Technology (idle start-stop capability).
The Hero Xoom 160R is expected to cost around Rs 1.2 lakh. In comparison, the Yamaha Aerox 155 starts at Rs 1.47 lakh, while the Aprilia SXR 160 starts at Rs 1.46 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
