Artisans made sales of around 18 lakhs rupees.

The seven-day long Teej Fair in Delhi came to a joyful end, leaving memories of Rajasthani art, culture, crafts, and food in the hearts of the people of Delhi, including the non-resident Rajasthanis. The fair featured various events like Teej processions, mehndi competitions, turban competitions, a Rajasthani fashion show, swings for the monsoon season, and cultural evenings.
The Chief Secretary of Rajasthan and Chief Resident Commissioner, Mr. Sudhansh Pant, along with Principal Resident Commissioner Mr. Alok, inaugurated the Teej Mela and cultural evening by performing prayer. Women dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire added charm to the Teej procession by carrying ceremonial urns. On the occasion of the Teej procession, Additional Resident Commissioner Mrs. Anju Omprakash and Deputy Resident Commissioner Mrs. Rinku Meena, along with other female officials, participated in the event.
Mr. Sudhansh Pant underlined importance of such events, saying they provide an opportunity to reach a wide audience and promote livelihoods. He mentioned that those who wish to experience Rajasthan even after the fair can participate in events at Bikaner House.
Mr. Alok, Principal Resident Commissioner of the Rajasthan Government, said that the government continuously organizes such fairs and programs through Bikaner House to bring Rajasthani art and culture to the masses. He encouraged the residents of Delhi and non-resident Rajasthanis to actively participate in these events.
Dr. Shivram Meena, Public Relations Officer of Rajasthan Government in New Delhi said that during the Teej Fair 2024 National and State award-winning artisans from various regions of Rajasthan showcased their crafts at around 50 stalls, attracting a lot of visitors. Dr. Meena mentioned that visitors made significant purchases of Rajasthani handicrafts such as Kota Doria fabric, Sanganeri prints, Mojris, Jaipur bangles, pottery, paintings, and traditional clothing. The artisans’ stalls achieved sales of over 18 lakhs rupees, which is considered impressive for the monsoon season in Delhi.
