Government leaders, energy experts, and community representatives to review solar progress, celebrate achievements, and outline the next phase of India’s renewable energy transition.
Varanasi, 14 November 2025:
Varanasi is set to host a pivotal clean energy convening on 16 November, bringing together senior government officials, renewable energy experts, banking representatives, customers, and community leaders at Hotel Castillo. The event will focus on the city’s rapidly growing adoption of solar energy and the collaborative efforts driving this transformation.
Organised in partnership with the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), the gathering will highlight the progress made under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and Sun King’s significant role in enabling solar installations across the region. Special recognition will be given to customers and households that have not only embraced solar energy but also encouraged wider community participation.
Key discussions will explore the tangible impact of renewable solutions in Varanasi, the contributions of local governance, and the coordinated work of banks, field teams, and technical staff in scaling clean energy infrastructure. Speakers will also outline future strategies—focusing on technological innovation, deeper rural and urban penetration of solar power, and enhancing customer empowerment.
As India accelerates its shift toward sustainable energy, this event marks an important moment for Varanasi. It aims to celebrate ongoing achievements while strengthening the roadmap for a resilient, environmentally conscious, and energy-independent future for both the city and the nation.
