Global Peace Initiative founder credits months of diplomatic outreach and urges world leaders to sustain efforts toward peace
Washington, D.C: Dr. K. A. Paul, Founder of the Global Peace Initiative, has welcomed the latest developments toward peace in the Iran conflict and expressed his gratitude to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, U.S. President Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, as well as the leaders of Pakistan, Qatar and Oman, for their efforts.
Dr. Paul said the development follows seven months of conflict and months of his own meetings, calls and diplomatic outreach focused on Iran, the Middle East and global peace.
Recalling his recent meeting with President Pezeshkian, Dr. Paul said he urged him to help bring the conflict to an end, highlighting the humanitarian and economic impact of the war on people around the world.
“You can end it. For the sake of billions of people suffering around the world, give peace a chance,” Dr. Paul said.
He also referred to the Global Peace Summit held in Washington, D.C., on September 23, which brought together international leaders and representatives to discuss peace and conflict resolution.
Dr. Paul thanked everyone who had worked towards peace and those who continued to pray for an end to the conflict.
“Let October 2 be remembered for years to come as a day when the world chose to give peace a chance,” he said.
