Industry Auction Hub Introduces Technology-Enabled B2B Marketplace to Revolutionize Industrial Materials Trading Through Transparent Digital Auctions

Noida-Based Digital Platform Brings Structured Price Discovery and Integrated Logistics to India’s Secondary Materials Trade, Targeting a ₹2,00,000+ Crore Addressable Market

Noida: Industry Auction Hub Pvt. Ltd. (IAH), based in Noida, has launched a technology-enabled B2B marketplace for trading industrial commodities, scrap, and idle industrial assets. Through industryauctionhub.com, the platform aims to streamline India’s fragmented secondary materials market with verified online auctions, transparent transactions, and integrated logistics coordination. The marketplace is currently operational in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The launch is designed to transform India’s fragmented secondary materials market, where industrial scrap and surplus materials continue to be traded largely through informal broker networks, resulting in limited transparency, inconsistent pricing, and inefficient market access.

By introducing a structured digital marketplace, IAH aims to improve price discovery, strengthen supply chain efficiency, and contribute to India’s circular economy objectives. The initiative comes as the country is projected to experience a scrap deficit of 13–15 million tonnes by FY30, with demand estimated at 61.8 million tonnes compared with a domestic supply of 46.7 million tonnes.

Highlighting the need for such a platform, Sudhir Agarwal, Co-founder of Industry Auction Hub Pvt. Ltd., said, “India doesn’t suffer from a shortage of industrial materials—it suffers from a shortage of visibility. Valuable resources are available across factories and industrial facilities, but they remain locked within informal networks. Industry Auction Hub has been built to create a transparent, technology-driven marketplace that connects sellers directly with the broadest possible base of verified buyers.”

That is what we are building,” said Sudhir Agarwal, Co-Founder, Industry Auction Hub Private Limited.

IAH operates on a “List, Bid, Deliver” model designed for industrial transactions. Third-party inspectors verify and catalogue inventory within 48 hours of listing. Verified buyers then participate in open, time-bound auctions. Winning transactions employ escrow payment mechanisms, with funds released only after confirmed delivery in an audit compliant environment.

The platform covers ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, industrial surplus inventory, off-specification materials, idle machinery, and related logistics and working capital support for MSME buyers. IAH will also introduce a price-intelligence service offering real-time commodity indices and regional pricing transparency for better decision-making. The platform represents a step toward greater formality, organized price discovery, and efficiency gains across India’s industrial materials ecosystem.
