GAIL targets Gen Z with Wah Kya Energy Hai Season 2, featuring four films and a new anthem promoting CNG, PNG, LNG and CBG across India
New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited has launched the second season of its Wah Kya Energy Hai campaign, placing younger consumers at the centre of its clean energy awareness drive. The initiative includes four short films and a new anthem, Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy, which promote cleaner fuel options and responsible energy use.
The campaign highlights CNG, PNG, LNG and CBG and explains their applications across household, commercial and industrial settings. Through humour, music and familiar family situations, GAIL aims to make the subject of sustainable energy more accessible to consumers across India.
Campaign Connects With Young Consumers Through Storytelling
Season 2 follows the Mishra family through everyday situations, including a visit to Varanasi, family celebrations and a function at Senior Mishra’s factory. The four films run for around 8–10 minutes each and use relatable characters to present cleaner fuel options.
GAIL has placed special emphasis on Gen Z, recognising younger consumers as an important audience in conversations about energy use and environmental responsibility.
The campaign covers domestic piped natural gas, commercial piped natural gas, compressed natural gas, industrial piped natural gas and liquefied natural gas applications.
Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy Highlights Clean Fuel Solutions
GAIL has also introduced an anthem titled Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy. Running for more than four minutes, the anthem showcases the company’s energy solutions, including compressed biogas and a floating CNG station in Varanasi.
The video promotes the idea that cleaner fuel choices can support efforts to reduce carbon footprints. It also connects GAIL’s energy initiatives with India’s broader push towards a more sustainable energy future.
Digital Campaign Uses Multiple Channels
The company is promoting the films through social media, influencer-led activities, digital banners, radio, cinema and gamification-based engagement. It is also distributing the content in digital formats to reach different audience groups.
Listeners can access the campaign anthem through Spotify, Amazon Music, Gaana and JioSaavn.
GAIL Links Clean Energy Awareness With Social Responsibility
Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) at GAIL and the leader of its Corporate Communications and Branding function, said the campaign seeks to encourage smarter fuel choices and strengthen public awareness of environmental responsibility.
He also highlighted GAIL Utkarsh, the company’s CSR initiative that supports meritorious students from underprivileged communities. The campaign brings together the company’s energy solutions, social initiatives and infrastructure projects to explain its broader role in India’s energy landscape.
GAIL continues to promote natural gas and its applications as part of its approach to cleaner energy. Through consumer-focused campaigns and its expanding energy portfolio, the company aims to contribute to greater awareness of sustainable fuel options.
Actors Srikant Verma, Divya Jagdale, Luv Vispute and Ahmed Khan appear across the four campaign films.
