She was closely associated with the CII India–Africa Business Conclave and several regional business conclaves across Africa. These engagements brought Indian industry representatives into contact with African governments, chambers of commerce and business leaders. She also has international experience involving Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, ASEAN and the Pacific Islands.

Her experience includes capacity building and professional training. From 2012 to 2019, she implemented the CII Industrial Services Training Programme with support from the Ministry of External Affairs. The programme served representatives of African chambers of commerce and investment promotion agencies.

Mulay has also taken initiatives to create professional development opportunities for African students in India, including internships, workshops and industry exposure.

As Advisor – Trade and International Relations, she will help NSEFI expand India’s renewable energy export opportunities and build stronger connections with international partners. Her work will include facilitating business-to-business collaborations, promoting institutional partnerships and supporting policy and regulatory knowledge exchange.

She will also contribute to NSEFI’s Global South outreach, focusing on technical capacity building, skills development and cooperation with emerging economies.

NSEFI CEO Subrahmanyam Pulipaka said India’s growing capabilities in renewable energy manufacturing, technology and project development offer opportunities to build partnerships beyond domestic markets.

He emphasised that India can contribute to the development of renewable energy sectors in Global South countries by exporting technologies and solutions while sharing policy expertise and strengthening institutional and technical capacities.

Pulipaka said Mulay’s extensive background in international trade and industry cooperation would support NSEFI’s efforts to expand its global partnerships.

The appointment is expected to strengthen the Federation’s international engagement and support India’s efforts to develop trade and institutional cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
