Bollywood’s much-loved comic pair, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade, are all set to bring a wave of laughter and goosebumps with their latest film ‘Kapkapi’, slated for a nationwide release on May 23, 2025.

The film’s lead cast, including Tusshar Kapoor, South Indian star Siddhi Idnani, and actress Sonia Rathee, recently visited Connaught Place, New Delhi, to promote the movie. Fans and media alike gathered in excitement to get a glimpse of the film’s buzz and hear directly from the stars.

Directed by the late Sangeeth Sivan and produced by Jayesh Patel under the banners of Zee Studios and Bravo Entertainment, Kapkapi is the official Hindi remake of the 2023 Malayalam hit ‘Romancham’. The screenplay adaptation has been skillfully done by Kumar Priyadarshi and Saurabh Anand.

Speaking at the press conference, Tusshar Kapoor shared insights about the film’s concept:

“Kapkapi is based on the hilarious and strange reactions people have when they’re scared. There are plenty of funny moments, spooky twists, and unexpected scares that audiences will absolutely enjoy,” said Tusshar.

A Blend of Spooks & Giggles

Kapkapi presents a unique fusion of horror and comedy, set in a haunted house filled with mischievous ghosts, flickering lights, creepy sounds, and laugh-out-loud moments. The film captures the fine line between fear and fun, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats while tickling their funny bones.

One of the biggest highlights is the reunion of Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade, a duo celebrated for their impeccable comic timing in cult favorites like Golmaal. Their return is expected to recreate that same magic, this time with a paranormal twist.

The film also holds emotional significance as it marks one of the final directorial projects of Sangeeth Sivan, who passed away in May last year. Known for hits like Kyaa Kool Hain Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money, Sivan’s signature style of blending genres is vividly present in Kapkapi, making it a heartfelt tribute to his cinematic legacy.

With its thrilling mix of spine-chilling horror and laugh-out-loud comedy, Kapkapi promises to be a complete entertainer for all age groups. Whether you’re a fan of ghost stories or just looking for a good laugh, this film is ready to deliver both in equal measure.
