INDIA
Three-day leadership workshop brings together top BJP leaders to sharpen organisational focus, policy understanding, and grassroots communication ahead of 2026 polls
14 June 2025, New Delhi
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s three-day national training camp in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday. The leadership training, which took place from June 14 – 16, had significance, attracting more than 200 senior BJP leaders with responsibility as MPs, MLAs, ministers, and state office-bearers from all over the Country.
In his opening remarks, Shah emphasized ideological clarity, internal discipline, and ethical behavior as basic elements for the BJP’s national presentation. He insisted that communication skills are needed for party leaders, and purpose driven leadership approaching the elections of 2026. The seminar will cover training related to the party’s chapter of the Jana Sangh period, the governance and policy framework, social media engagement, and managing the message during crisis.
Leaders begin each day with yoga and meditation at 6 a.m., with mobile phone use restricted to ensure undivided focus.
Among the senior leaders attending are B.L. Santosh, Shiv Prakash, Bhupender Yadav, C.R. Patil, L. Murugan, Savitri Thakur, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, along with the entire cabinet and the original state BJP president, V.D. Sharma, are attending.
The camp is contextualized by an exhibition showcasing the BJP’s efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Attendees can plant a tree in a tribute to their mothers through a symbolic lifework initiative, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, grounding some emotional value into ecological responsibility.
Although training camps form part of the BJP’s organization cycle, in light of the recent controversies and the increase in public scrutiny, the current camp assumes importance in order to signal an emphasis on accountability, and disciplined leadership in the party’s evolution.
The Pachmarhi camp indicates the BJP’s desire to grow production potential in value driven, unified leadership capable of managing both governance, and public discourse in the future.
