Atal Foundation celebrated Atal Shree and Atal Samman Samaroh 2025 in New Delhi, recognising individuals whose work reflects Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ideals of service and inclusive development.

The Atal Foundation organised the Atal Shree 2025 and Atal Samman Samaroh 2025 on Tuesday at New Maharashtra Sadan, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi, to commemorate the ideals and enduring legacy of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The event honoured individuals who have made significant contributions to society across diverse fields.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary attended the ceremony as the chief guest and presented the awards. The programme witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities, including Member of Parliament Geeta Shakya; former MP and former Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Avinash Rai Khanna; and Aparna Singh, National President of the Atal Foundation. Social leader Ashok Agarwal and spiritual leader and former Miss World Tourism India, Ishika Taneja, were also among the distinguished guests.
Addressing the gathering, Bhagirath Chaudhary said that the Atal Foundation is playing an important role in reaching sections of society that need greater inclusion and support. “The Foundation’s initiatives in education, healthcare and community development reflect a strong sense of social responsibility and align closely with Atal ji’s vision of inclusive and people-centric growth,” he said.
Awards were presented in four different categories during the ceremony. The prestigious Atal Ratna Award 2025 was conferred upon former MP Avinash Rai Khanna and Ankit Rathi. Nine individuals were honoured with the International Atal Award for their contributions with global impact. Additionally, 20 achievers received the Atal Shree Award, while 11 individuals were presented with the Atal Gaurav Award for their sustained work in public service and social development.
Speaking on the occasion, Aparna Singh said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s thoughts continue to guide the Foundation’s initiatives. “Atal ji believed in inclusive development, social harmony and service to society. Through our programmes and recognitions, we are committed to carrying forward his vision on the ground,” she said.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold the values of integrity, service and nation-building that defined Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s public life.
