CM Sukhu Launches Anupama Sharma’s Poetry Collection ‘Buransh: The Fragrance of Words’

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled the poetry collection “Buransh: The Fragrance of Words” authored by young poet and educator Anupama Sharma from Hamirpur, during a special event held in Shimla. Currently, Anupama serves as an English lecturer at the Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Hamirpur.
Poems That Explore the Soul
Praising Anupama’s poetic sensibility, CM Sukhu remarked that her verses deeply touch human emotions, beautifully portraying themes of broken relationships, self-reflection, and the hope of renewal in nature’s embrace. He described the book as an emotional journey that skillfully peels back the layers of the soul through the power of words.
A Collection That Gives Back
The 56-page anthology features 39 poems and is published by Satluj Publications. Priced at ₹150, all proceeds from the book sales will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Sukh-Aashray Yojana, a welfare initiative aimed at supporting those in need.
A Poet with Many Passions
Beyond her literary talents, Anupama Sharma is an avid biker, sports enthusiast, and nature lover—passions that clearly echo in her poems. Her deep connection with the natural world adds a raw and heartfelt dimension to her writing, resonating deeply with readers.
The launch event was also attended by Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, who all extended their appreciation for Anupama’s creative achievement.
