Dr. K. A. Paul Criticizes Arms Trade and War Rhetoric, Calls for Global Day of Prayer and Peace

Launch of 24-Hour Global Peace Initiative; Urges Collective Prayer and Political Accountability

New Delhi, In a press conference held in New Delhi, Dr. K. A. Paul sharply criticized global leaders, including former U.S. President Donald Trump, for prioritizing arms deals over human life. Dr. Paul alleged that the modern political climate is more focused on weapons sales than on preserving peace and humanity.

Allegations Against Trump and Arms Deals with Middle East Nations

Dr. Paul accused Donald Trump of accepting a $400 million bribe in the form of a private jet from a wealthy Qatari, allegedly to secure ongoing arms support and suppress criticism of Qatari policies.
He further claimed that during heightened India-Pakistan tensions, Trump did nothing to promote peace. “It wasn’t Trump who stopped a war between India and Pakistan—it was God, and I was part of that mission,” Paul stated, accusing Trump of focusing on weapons sales in Arab nations at the time.
Countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, according to Paul, live in fear of meeting the same fate as Gaddafi or Saddam Hussein.

India Should Lead Its Own Peace Efforts, Says Dr. Paul

Calling on India to become self-reliant in global diplomacy, Dr. Paul emphasized that the country, being the world’s largest democracy, is capable of resolving its own issues. “If all political parties unite, India can become a global ambassador for peace,” he said.

The conference saw participation from various religious representatives, including Supreme Court advocate and Buddhist Peace Forum President Anand S. Jondhale, and Muslim community leader Ashrafi Akbar Ali.

IndiGo Airlines Accused of Hindering Peace Mission

Dr. Paul also criticized IndiGo Airlines for allegedly preventing him from attending a peace summit in Turkey, calling it a dangerous example of political interference in humanitarian work.

Global Call for Peace and Prayer on May 24–25

Despite the serious allegations, Dr. Paul announced a 24-hour Global Day of Prayer and Peace, scheduled from 6 PM on May 24 to 6 PM on May 25. He urged people around the world to dedicate at least five minutes to pray for peace at home, in places of worship, or public spaces.

He appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and opposition leaders to rise above political divisions and carry forward the legacy of peace upheld by leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

India Urged to Lead Global Peace Movement

“India can take care of itself,” Dr. Paul affirmed, highlighting the country’s democratic strength and potential to lead the world toward peace. He concluded by calling for May 24 to be celebrated as a “Day of Peace” starting from India.
