Dr. K.A. Paul Files Petition in AP High Court Over Pastor Praveen Pagadala’s Death, Also Demand CBI

Renowned peace ambassador and humanitarian Dr. K.A. Paul appeared before the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court today, raising serious concerns over the investigation into the mysterious and tragic death of Pastor Praveen Pagadala. In a public interest litigation (PIL), Dr. Paul claimed the incident was not an accident but a premeditated murder and pointed out several irregularities in the current investigation.
22 Key Points Presented Alleging a Conspiracy
Dr. Paul submitted 22 critical points before the court that suggest the incident may have been a well-orchestrated conspiracy. He highlighted that the postmortem report has not yet been made public, there was a delay in registering an FIR, and the victim’s family and close associates are reportedly being intimidated. He described these developments as grave violations of constitutional rights and suggested that there is an active effort to suppress the case.
Court Seeks Response from State Government and Police
The High Court has directed the state government, the Director General of Police (DGP), and other concerned authorities to respond to the allegations made in the petition.
Dr. Paul also questioned the silence of certain political and police officials regarding the case and condemned the unauthorized circulation of videos related to the incident before the investigation was complete. He called this a breach of legal protocol and said it misleads the public and undermines the sanctity of the justice system.
International Attention on Minority Safety
Returning from an international peace conference in Europe, Dr. Paul stated that American senators, U.S. lawmakers, and European parliamentarians have expressed concern over the incident. He emphasized that this is not just a domestic issue but a global one, raising broader questions about the safety of religious minorities in India.
He urged the court to transfer the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), claiming to possess forensic, photographic, and documentary evidence that supports his claim of murder.
“A Fight for Justice and Constitutional Rights”
“This is not just about the death of one man,” Dr. Paul said, “but a fight for truth, justice, and the constitutional rights of every Indian citizen—especially those facing religious discrimination and violence.”
He concluded by appealing to national leaders, civil society organizations, media houses, and international human rights groups to closely monitor the case and ensure that justice is served and those responsible are held accountable.
