Calling for unity, Dr K.A. Paul says Tamil Nadu needs cooperation, investment, and development instead of political rivalry to secure its future.
New Delhi: Global Peace Initiative founder Dr. K.A. Paul has called on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and his family to put aside political differences and allow Chief Minister Vijay to govern without interference.
Dr. Paul said the people’s mandate should be honoured and alleged that attempts were made to prevent Vijay from forming the government after the election. He added that the continued political attacks are not in the state’s best interest.
“Chief Minister Vijay showed humility by meeting Mr. Stalin, but political hostility continues. Tamil Nadu deserves politics that promotes development, not confrontation,” Dr. Paul said.
He argued that Tamil Nadu now faces significant challenges, including rising debt, unemployment, and concerns over education, healthcare, and overall development. According to him, attracting investment and creating jobs should become the state’s top priorities.
To help achieve that goal, Dr. Paul invited Chief Minister Vijay to attend the Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C., scheduled for September 24, 2026. He said the summit would provide a platform to meet international investors, policymakers, and business leaders interested in economic partnerships.
Dr. Paul said he hopes to introduce Vijay to U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, entrepreneur Elon Musk, and other global business leaders to encourage investment in Tamil Nadu. He also plans to invite the Chief Ministers of the Telugu-speaking states to strengthen regional economic collaboration.
Referring to Barack Obama’s appointment of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State after a hard-fought election, Dr. Paul said political maturity is essential for national progress.
He concluded by urging leaders across India to move beyond political conflict and work together to promote investment, employment, economic growth, and lasting peace.
