Dr. K. A. Paul Urges Reconsideration of Proposed FCRA Amendments, Says Riley Moore’s Remarks Highlight Rising International Concerns

New Delhi: Global Peace Initiative founder Dr. K. A. Dr. K. A. Paul urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to withdraw the proposed FCRA Amendment Bill, warning it could harm India’s economy and global credibility.

Through a public video message, Dr. Paul urged the government to reconsider the proposal after wider consultations with stakeholders. He said the amendments could create uncertainty for NGOs, charitable institutions and foreign partners.

Dr. Paul claimed the proposed legislation has drawn international concern and could discourage foreign investment while harming India’s global image.

Referring to remarks by U.S. Congressman Riley Moore, Dr. Paul said the comments reflect growing international concern over the proposed amendments. However, the Government said the bill aims to strengthen oversight of foreign-funded organisations and clarify asset management rules

Dr. Paul urged MPs to carefully review the bill and called on the government to prioritise dialogue, national unity and India’s long-term interests.
