Delhi Sports University wraps up Stage-II with record participation and seamless coordination

Delhi Sports University (DSU) proudly announces the successful completion of the Stage-II Assessment for sports talent identification for admission into Delhi Sports School (DSS) for the academic session 2025–26. The assessment was conducted from May 29 to June 3, 2025, across multiple venues in Delhi, marking another significant step in nurturing and promoting young sports talent.
This crucial stage aimed to identify promising young athletes across a range of sporting disciplines. Students shortlisted from Stage-I of the talent scouting process were invited to participate in Stage-II. All shortlisted candidates were duly informed through circulars posted on the official DSU and DSS websites, as well as through emails and registered mobile contacts. Admit cards, including detailed test schedules, were sent via registered email IDs.
To ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience, free accommodation was arranged for students traveling from outside Delhi/NCR. This thoughtful measure facilitated the participation of outstation students without logistical hindrance.
Out of the pool of students who participated in Stage-I, a total of 566 students were shortlisted for Stage-II Assessment. Impressively, approximately 90% of the invited candidates appeared for the assessment, demonstrating their strong dedication and enthusiasm towards pursuing a career in sports.

Venues and Structure of the Assessment:
The Stage-II Assessment was conducted through a combination of Sports Science Tests and Sports Trials, held at well-equipped and renowned venues across the capital:
- Thyagraj Stadium, INA hosted Sports Science Tests and trials for Badminton, Athletics, and Lawn Tennis.
- Delhi Sports School, Ludlow Castle conducted the Sports Science Tests for Archery, Boxing, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Swimming, and Shooting.
- Sports Trials for Boxing, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Weightlifting, Swimming, and Shooting were held at Delhi Sports School.
- Archery trials took place at SKV H Block, Ashok Vihar.
The entire assessment process was conducted under the expert supervision of trained officials, seasoned coaches, and the organizing team from both DSU and DSS. All arrangements related to participant hospitality, meals, and accommodations were meticulously managed to ensure a smooth experience.
