Dr K A Paul has linked recent US and Israeli election developments to his appeal for diplomatic solutions to the Iran war and global conflicts
Washington, D.C.: International peace advocate Dr. K. A. Paul has described the reported election developments in the United States and Israel as an important moment for advocates of peace. He has renewed his demand for an end to the Iran war and urged political leaders to resolve international conflicts through diplomacy.
Paul, President of the Global Peace Initiative, recalled his September 23 warning at the Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C. He had said that US President Donald Trump could face a major political setback if he continued the Iran war without pursuing an end to the conflict.
He had specifically predicted that Republicans could lose control of both chambers of Congress. The press release claims that the Democratic Party has now secured both the House of Representatives and the Senate following the 2026 midterm elections.
Paul also referred to the latest political developments in Israel. He had previously called for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s defeat over his government’s handling of regional conflicts.
According to the figures cited in the release, Netanyahu’s Likud Party secured 27 seats in the 120-member Knesset. The coalition supporting him won 53 seats, below the 61 needed for a majority. The release said the outcome had left the formation of the next government uncertain.
Paul also discussed the position of US House Speaker Mike Johnson, whom he described as a close friend. He expressed concern that Johnson could lose the speakership when the new Congress takes office in January 2027. Paul also appreciated Johnson’s leadership and his association with the peace initiative.
Paul said political leaders should place human lives and global stability above military confrontation. He urged Trump, Netanyahu and other world leaders to take concrete steps towards ending wars and preventing further casualties.
He reiterated that dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful negotiations offer a better path towards international cooperation and long-term stability.
