Top 10 Best Selling Cars: 6 Maruti, 2 Tata, 2 Hyundai cars among top 10 in September: Baleno, WagonR, Nexon shine

 

The passenger vehicle (PV) segment in India has been experiencing unprecedented growth this year, driven by robust demand, especially for sport utility vehicles (SUVs), and increased production thanks to improved semiconductor availability. In September, car sales reached a record high of 363,733 units. Among the top 10 best-selling cars, Maruti Suzuki India dominated with six models, while Tata Motors and Hyundai Motor India each had two representatives.

Baleno, WagonR, and Nexon Shine:

Leading the pack once again was the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, a familiar name in the top spot, with an impressive 18,416 units sold in September. Following closely was the ever-popular Maruti Suzuki WagonR, recording sales of 16,250 units. Tata Motors made its presence felt in the top ranks with the Tata Nexon, which secured the third spot with sales of 15,325 units.

Brezza, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga in the Middle:

The middle slots were predominantly occupied by four Maruti Suzuki cars. Following the Tata Nexon was its fierce competitor, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which achieved sales of 15,001 units in September. The Maruti Suzuki Swift was next in line with 14,703 units sold, followed by the Maruti Suzuki Dzire at 13,880 units and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with 13,528 units.

Punch, Creta, and Venue Complete the List:

Adding further variety to the list, the Tata Punch continued to impress, securing sales of 13,045 units in September. Hyundai’s mid-size SUV leader, the Creta, claimed a respectable position with 12,717 units sold. Rounding out the list of the 10 best-selling cars for September was the Hyundai Venue, with 12,204 units sold.

As the Indian automotive market continues to evolve, these rankings reflect the preferences of consumers in a rapidly changing landscape, with a mix of Maruti, Tata, and Hyundai vehicles taking the lead in this competitive race for sales supremacy.
