Senior Journalist Rakesh Singh Re-Nominated to Safdarjung Hospital & VMMC Committee, Continues for Another Term

Official order extends Rakesh Singh’s tenure on the committee, where he will continue contributing to student welfare, anti-ragging initiatives and institutional responsibilities alongside key stakeholders

New Delhi: Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), among India’s leading government healthcare institutions, has once again re-nominated senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh as a member of its committee, allowing him to continue serving the institution for another term.

According to the official order, Singh has been re-nominated as a Member representing the local media on the committee. Along with representatives from the civil administration, legal fraternity, police, NGOs and parents, he will contribute to initiatives aimed at ensuring a safe and conducive academic environment for students. The committee is responsible for preventing ragging in accordance with UGC guidelines, interacting with students, addressing complaints, creating awareness, and carrying out responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

Expressing his gratitude, Rakesh Singh thanked everyone for their continued support and trust.

He said, “I am honoured to continue serving as a Member of Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College. I sincerely thank everyone for their support, encouragement and good wishes.
