Dr. Bhargav Mallappa’s book looks at India’s changing landscape and its future direction
Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad: Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad witnessed the launch of The Modi Era: India’s Journey of Transformation, a new book by Dr. Bhargav Mallappa, on Monday.
The book was launched at Adithara Auditorium during the Birthday Week Celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Akhila Sevak Samaj Council (ASSC) organised the programme.
The event brought together spiritual figures, public representatives, social leaders, academics, workers’ representatives and media professionals.
The book attempts to chronicle a period of change in India while examining the country’s journey so far, its current position and the possibilities ahead. Dr. Mallappa said he worked on the book through months of reading, observation and reflection.
He said the publication is intended to encourage readers to examine the ideas presented in it and develop their own perspectives on India’s transformation.
Dr. S. Selvaganesh, National Chairman, Bharathiya Hindu Parivar and Member, ZRUCC, Ministry of Railways, Government of India, delivered the welcome address.
Among those present at the launch were Madurai Aadheenam Srimath Vishwalinga Thambiran, Thiru Rajasekar Swamigal, Thavathiru Palani Adigalar, Mahaa Shri Shri Yukteshwara Paramacharya Swamigal, Shri Karan Bhushan Singh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri T. S. Srivatsa, Hon’ble MLA, Krishnaraja Constituency, Mysuru, Shri Satyendra Kumar Bari, Member, State Commission for Backward Classes, Uttar Pradesh, Prasanth Malavayal, BJP District President, Wayanad, Dr. Subbha Somu, Shri Chandan Kumar, Dr. Mahalakshmi and Kaleem Bharathi.
Dr. Mallappa said he hoped the book would prompt readers to engage with its ideas, question them where necessary and form independent views. He further hoped it would become a part of discussions among young people, communities and institutions across India.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Manoj Sharma.
