New Delhi/Washington, September 24, 2026: U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson joined Dr K. A. Paul at the Global Peace & Economic Summit in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. The gathering focused on international conflicts, diplomacy, peace and economic cooperation.
Around 100 leaders and representatives participated in the summit, according to the organisers. The participants included representatives associated with the United States, India, Iran, Pakistan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Russia, Ukraine, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Afghanistan.
The event also brought together Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Hindu representatives, along with political, diplomatic, business and civil-society participants.
Leaders discuss impact of global conflicts
Participants discussed the impact of armed conflicts on civilians and economies. The discussions included displacement, humanitarian suffering, food prices and energy costs.
The summit also examined diplomacy and dialogue as tools for addressing international disputes.
Dr K. A. Paul said the international community must work across national, religious and political differences to protect human life and support peace.
According to the organisers, Mike Johnson also praised Paul’s peace initiatives and discussed U.S. efforts to address international conflicts.
Paul peace initiatives discussed
Global Peace Ambassador Dave McQuade said Paul has worked with leaders from different countries and political systems on peace initiatives.
The organisers highlighted Paul’s peace rallies and claimed that his initiatives have reached millions of people across several countries over the past decades.
Ranganathan, described by the organisers as an 86-year-old friend of the United States, said, “Peace is Possible.”
A former Vice President of the Democratic Republic of Congo also invited Paul to organise a peace rally in the country, according to the organisers.
The organisers said the summit aims to encourage continued international dialogue and support efforts to reduce conflict and protect civilians.
