Singh receives recognition for promoting para-sports and supporting Divyang athletes
New Delhi: Delhi Paralympic Committee President Parul Singh received an honour at “An Evening Dedicated to Persons with Disabilities”, organised by the Social Welfare Department of the Delhi Government.
Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh presented the felicitation to Parul Singh during the programme, which took place under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
The event celebrated the achievements of persons with disabilities and highlighted the importance of equal opportunities and inclusion.
The organisers recognised Singh for her contribution to para-sports and her efforts to create more opportunities for athletes with disabilities in Delhi. Her work with the Delhi Paralympic Committee has focused on encouraging participation and improving competitive exposure for para-athletes.
“This felicitation is a great encouragement not just for me, but for every para-athlete who continues to pursue their dreams with determination,” Singh said.
She said her priority remains to provide Divyang athletes with equal opportunities, support and platforms to showcase their talent.
Singh thanked the Delhi Government for its encouragement and said cooperation between government institutions, sports organisations and the community can further strengthen para-sports in Delhi.
